7.2/10 Appearance 6 Aroma 7 Flavor 8 Texture 6 Overall 8
Slightly hazy golden color with a medium white head that dissipates steadily to an outer ring. Strings of lace. Aroma of floral hops, fruit and malt. Medium body with flavors of floral hop, citrus and biscuit malt. The finish is dry and mildly bitter with a floral and fruity hop aftertaste. Above average overall.

12 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 1/16/2019. Pours slightly hazy pale golden/yellow color with a small fairly dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a light amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, watermelon, red apple, berries, white grape/wine, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, cracker, white bread, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, watermelon, red apple, berries, white grape/wine, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, cracker, white bread, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, watermelon, red apple, berries, white grape/wine, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, cracker, white bread, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate pale malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and no lingering hop astringency after the finish. Moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately crisp, bready/grainy, and sticky/resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 7%. Overall this is an excellent brut IPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth and crisp to drink with the moderately bitter/resinous/drying finish, not overly aggressive. Feels like Simcoe, Nelson Sauvin, El Dorado. Very vibrant, dank, and earthy balanced hop complexity; with a solid pale malt backbone. No residual sweetness from crisp resin dryness. A very enjoyable offering, and well executed style example.
