750 ml bottle into tulip glass, bottled in 12/2018. Pours slightly hazy medium golden amber color with a 2 finger desne and rocky off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of huge juicy/sour/tart/tangy pineapples, mango, melon, fruit skin, lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, raspberry, strawberry, peach, pear, apricot, red/green apple, white grape/wine, oak, hay, straw, grass, honey, candi sugar, wheat, and white bread dough; with lighter notes of oaken vanilla, pepper, leathery/musty/lacto funk, white wine vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness. Incredible aromas with fantastic complexity and balance of pineapple, mango, fruity/funky/acidic yeast, bready malt, and wine barrel notes; with big strength. Taste of huge juicy/sour/tart/tangy pineapples, mango, melon, fruit skin, lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, raspberry, strawberry, peach, pear, apricot, red/green apple, white grape/wine, oak, hay, straw, grass, honey, candi sugar, wheat, and white bread dough; with lighter notes of oaken vanilla, pepper, leathery/musty/lacto funk, white wine vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tart/sourness, fruit/wine tang, and light yeast/oak spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of sour/tart/tangy pineapples, mango, melon, fruit skin, lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, raspberry, strawberry, peach, pear, apricot, red/green apple, white grape/wine, oak, hay, straw, grass, honey, candi sugar, wheat, white bread dough, light leather/funk/vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness on the finish for a while. Amazing complexity, robustness, and balance of pineapple, mango, fruity/funky/acidic yeast, bready malt, and wine barrel flavors; with a fantastic malt/tart/sourness and tangy fruit balance; with minimal puckering flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering tart/sourness, tangy fruit, and yeast/oak spiciness. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready, and fairly acidic/tangy/tannic balanced mouthfeel that is fantastic. Minimal warming alcohol for 8.5%. Overall this is an insane fruited sour/wild ale! All around amazing complexity, robustness, and balance of pineapple, mango, fruity/funky/acidic yeast, bready malt, and wine barrel flavors; very smooth and dangerously easy to sip on for the ABV, with the mellowly acidic/tangy/tannic/drying finish, not overly lactic. Perfectly balanced between juicy/jammy fruit, Brett/Bacteria complexity, bready malts, and wine barrel presence/integration. Not overly sweet/heavy from lingering dryness. Definitely the best one I've had in the series yet; more malty and minimally puckering than the other pale colored versions. A highly amazing offering, and world class style example. One of the best imperial sours I've ever had from anywhere.
