Pour is thick and viscous.Smells sharply of unripened grapefruit rinds. Clear almost pale. Oh my my, this is the hoppiest bitterest freaking brew I have had in a long long time, it is so wah wah wow. I hate ipa so the lower my numbers and the worse I hate it, the better for you! Yasssss, long pointy toenails dig in just when you think you gonnah like it. El jugoso is kicking my ass, all the way round to the front of my face, whew. So big and so nasty nellie freaken bad ass mah fah whacker. I have just ruined my palate for an hour or so. If you like kick ass IPA, please put this on yer bucket list. I need to get a sixer of these to use for trade bait! BTW, pretty cool label too! date code 4/5/19.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, best before 4/5/2019. Pours fairly hazy/cloudy medium golden/amber color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Thick soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, watermelon, guava, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, cracker, biscuit dough, light honey/toast, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, watermelon, guava, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, cracker, biscuit dough, light honey/toast, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, watermelon, guava, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, cracker, biscuit dough, light honey/toast, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and no lingering hop astringency after the finish. Moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy, and sticky/resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Mildly increasing warmth of 9.5% after the finish. Overall this is an awesome DIPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt flavors; very smooth and dangerously easy to drink for the ABV, with the moderately bitter/resinous/drying finish. Not overly aggressive. Amazing El Dorado, Citra, Azacca profile. Awesome mix of juicy, vibrant, dank, and earthy hop complexity; with a nice sized bready malt backbone. Minimal residual sweetness from lingering resin dryness. A really enjoyable offering, and impressive style example as expected.
