355ml bottle. Pours a hazy amber-orange with a medium, creamy, long lasting, off-white head that laces. Sweet aroma of caramel malt, peach, brandy, orange, clove, banana, vanilla and light oak. Sweet flavour of bready caramel malt, peach, apricot, orange, sugar, plum, honey, clove, vanilla, Belgian yeast and oak with a dry, brandy warming finish. Medium to full body with a smooth, oily texture and soft carbonation. Nice complexity.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 7/12/2018. Pours slightly hazy/cloudy deep golden amber/light orange color with a 1 1 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin spotty lace cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of peach, plum, pear, orange, lemon, golden raisin, apricot, red apple, white grape, vanilla, brandy, toasted oak, peppercorn, clove, honey, biscuit, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast/oak earthiness. Touch of booze in the aromas as it warms, but not overwhelming. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, bready malts, and brandy barrel notes; with good strength. Taste of huge peach, plum, pear, orange, lemon, golden raisin, apricot, red apple, white grape, vanilla, brandy, toasted oak, peppercorn, clove, honey, biscuit, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast/oak earthiness. Light-moderate peppery yeast/oak tannin spiciness, and herbal/floral/grassy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of peach, plum, pear, orange, lemon, golden raisin, apricot, red apple, white grape, vanilla, brandy, toasted oak, peppercorn, clove, honey, biscuit, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast/oak earthiness on the finish for a while. Amazing complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, bready malts, and brandy barrel flavors; with an awesome malt/bitter/spiciness balance, and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness and yeast/oak spiciness. Medium-plus carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately silky/bready/grainy, fairly sticky/tannic, and slightly tangy brandy mouthfeel that is great. Lightly increasing lingering warmth of 12.4%, with minimal barrel booziness lingering after the finish. Overall this is an amazing barrel aged Belgian strong pale ale! All around incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, bready malts, and brandy barrel flavors; very smooth and dangerously easy to sip on for the big ABV, with the mellowly bitter/spicy/drying finish. Perfectly balanced yeast complexity and bready malts; with perfect brandy barrel integration. Well attenuated, not overly sweet/heavy for the ABV. Not overly boozy/tannic on barrels. A highly enjoyable offering, and amazing style example as expected.
