12 ounce can into tulip glass; no can dating, but is a recent release. Pours slightly hazy deep orange/amber, light red/pink color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and rocky light pink head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big juicy/tart/tangy raspberries, fruit skin/seeds, lemon, orange, peach, plum, pear, red apple, red grape, wheat, cracker, biscuit dough, light pepper, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of raspberries, fruity yeast, bready malts, and light earthy hop notes; with great strength. Taste of big juicy/tart/tangy raspberries, fruit skin/seeds, lemon, orange, peach, plum, pear, red apple, red grape, wheat, cracker, biscuit dough, light pepper, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruit tang/tartness; and herbal, floral, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/tangy raspberries, fruit skin/seeds, lemon, orange, peach, plum, pear, red apple, red grape, wheat, cracker, biscuit dough, pepper, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of raspberries, fruity yeast, bready malts, and light earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness and fruit tang/tartness balance; with no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness, and tart/tangy fruit. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy, fairly crisp/acidic/tangy/tannic/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 6.2%. Overall this is an excellent fruit beer! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of raspberries, fruity yeast, bready malts, and light earthy hop flavors; very smooth and fairly crisp/refreshing to drink the the mellowly tart/bitter/drying finish. Nicely jammy berries; balanced fruity American wheat yeast, and bready malts; with light earthy hops against sweetness. A very enjoyable offering, and great style example. Just as delicious as as the blueberry version.
