12 ounce can into tulip glass; no can dating, but is a recent release. Pours fairly hazy deep orange/amber, light pink/purple color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big juicy/tart/tangy blueberries, fruit skin, lemon, peach, plum, pear, red apple, red grape, wheat, cracker, honey, toasted biscuit, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of blueberries, fruity yeast, bready malts, and light earthy hop notes; with great strength. Taste of big juicy/tart/tangy blueberries, fruit skin, lemon, peach, plum, pear, red apple, red grape, wheat, cracker, honey, toasted biscuit, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruit tang/tartness; and light herbal, floral, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/tangy blueberries, fruit skin, lemon, peach, plum, pear, red apple, red grape, wheat, cracker, honey, toasted biscuit, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of blueberries, fruity yeast, bready malts, and light earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness and fruit tang/tartness balance; with no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness, and tart/tangy fruit. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy, fairly crisp/acidic/tangy/tannic, and lightly sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 6.2%. Overall this is an excellent fruit beer! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of blueberries, fruity yeast, bready malts, and light earthy hop flavors; very smooth and fairly crisp/refreshing to drink the the mellowly tart/bitter/drying finish. Nicely jammy berries; balanced fruity American wheat yeast, and bready malts; with mild earthy hops against sweetness. A very enjoyable offering, and great style example.
