Gen IV is four generations of brewing. Fred and Nick helped to "pilot brew" this session IPA with a hop forward, tropical character. Dynamic and easy drinking.

This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a nice looking hazy blaze yellow color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a half a minute. Ringy foamy lacing sticks nicely to the glass.
The smell starts off with sweet onion rolling into a sweet subtle grassiness to blend.
The taste was moderately sweet and \"danky\" underscored with a little bit of bitter pine. Despite no aftertaste, there’s a sly little bit of sweet danky onion in the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a fairly nice sessionability about it. Carbonation runs appropriate for a \"session IPA\" as there’s just enough bitterness to show some oomph in the bitterness but not overdoing it.
Overall, as a session IPA, it works, I’d have again as is and won’t expect less.

6 week old can into a pint. A: Pours murky dark gold with a finger of off whit foam. Light retention but nice lacing left. A few large bubbles. S: Very light sweet grapefruit and fragrant pine in equal amounts. Even a bit of malt sweetness (I think). Light but nice. T: Bitter hops hit first with pine and pith. Light lemony citrus juiciness plus a bit of toasty malt. M: Medium light on the mouth with a decent bracing carbonation. O: Pretty much everything about this comes in around "average". OK buy but mainly if found on sale at a great price.

Location: 12 oz bottle from A&P Hoboken, 7/31/15, Rating #4747!
Aroma: The nose is dominated by mint - smells almost exactly like mint chewing gum to me, underneath that I get some fruity notes, a bit of herbal hop, and some citrus rind as well
Appearance: It pours an unclear golden-orange color with a small froth of head
Flavor: That mint completely disappears in the flavor, and all I get is a light, slightly bitter hop flavor
Palate: The body is light and a little thin, easy drinking, with an average carbonation
Overall Impression: Overall, this is kind of an odd beer. Why does it smell like mint chewing gum? Where does that go in the flavor? What's left beyond that? Well, that one I can answer. An okay, kind of dull, slightly thin, easy drinking Session IPA. Not bad. Hard to rate. I settled here.

A clean smelling fresh olfactory, lacks any BO so common in contemporary ipa. From a bottle this is a not so viscous IPA yet retains much of that ipa feeling all over. The look is cloudy with a rocky head. Difficult nasty on-style ipa effects cloud the senses. Good amount of co2 makes this a little more palatable than most ipa. Yes, a coarse beer fer sure for any lager lover. I don’t like IPA but this is almost acceptable.

12 ounce bottle. Hazy golden, medium sized white head, fair retention. Aroma of floral, earthy hops. The taste is citrus, tropical hops, crackery pale malt. Thin bodied, mild lingering bitterness.

Bottle on the way to JFK. Pours clear gold, lightly effervescent, with a fluffy white head. Pleasant aroma with notes of peach, zesty tangerine, nectarine. Light sweet flavor with dry pale malts, further tangerine and peach, mellow bitterness. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Pretty smooth on the finish, faint pine resin, further peach. Quite nice.
