tap at Odd Side in Grand Haven. Solid sour - the example was the lime aestas which was a bit off - but still, very good

500 ml bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 5/14/2018. Pours lightly hazy golden amber/light orange color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin spotty lace cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big juicy strawberries, cucumber, fruit skin, lemon, lime, peach, pear, apricot, melon, green apple, white wine, oak, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, and white bread; with light notes of pepper, musty funk, white wine vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, strawberries, cucumber, oak, and moderate pale/wheat malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big juicy/light tart/tangy strawberries, cucumber, fruit skin, lemon, lime, peach, pear, apricot, melon, green apple, white wine, oak, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, and white bread; with lighter notes of pepper, oaken vanilla, musty funk, white wine vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tart/sourness, fruit tang, and light yeast/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/tangy strawberries, cucumber, fruit skin, lemon, lime, peach, pear, apricot, melon, green apple, white wine, oak, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, white bread, pepper, light funk/vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, strawberries, cucumber, oak, and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; with a great malt/tart/sourness and tangy fruit balance; with zero puckering flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from tart/sourness and tangy fruit. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately grainy/acidic/tangy, fairly crisp, and lightly tannic balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 6%. Overall this is an excellent fruited sour/wild ale. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, strawberries, cucumber, oak, and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink with the modestly acidic/tangy/tannic/drying finish, not overly lactic. Great well rounded Brett/Lacto complexity with balanced jammy fruits; nice oak presence and pale/wheat malts against acidity. A very enjoyable offering as expected.
