16 oz can, dated in August 2020. Pours golden with a relatively light haze. Fruity citrus aroma of grapefruit, orange, some grassiness. Flavor is of course citrusy orange and grapefruit, some tropical fruit, some caramel sweetness, grassy hops. Not too bad, but might be better fresher.

Poured 16ounce can to pint glass. Medium head. Slightly hazy. Iโ€™m not saying itโ€™s not an NEIPA but it doesnโ€™t toe the line. Only mildly juicy with a more bitter than smooth palate than the norm.

16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 12/5/2017. Pours opaquely hazy golden yellow/light orange color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big tangerine, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, passionfruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, green pepper, pine, wheat, cracker, biscuit dough, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tangerine, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, passionfruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, green pepper, pine, wheat, cracker, biscuit dough, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel, herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, passionfruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, lemon/orange peel, citrus rind, pepper, pine, wheat, cracker, biscuit dough, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy/sticky, and lightly resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 6.5%. Overall this is an awesome NEIPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the modestly bitter/drying finish. On the more bitter/drying side of the style, but not overly aggressive. Awesome balanced dank/juicy hop complexity; nice bready malt backbone, with no residual sweetness. A great showcase of Ekuanot, Citra, and Amarillo hops; near perfect balance of character. A really enjoyable offering, and great style example.
