16 ounce can into pint glass, best before 5/28/2018. Pours clear nearly opaque dark brown color with a 1-2 finger dense khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of lightly tart/tangy raspberries, milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, vanilla, cream, brown sugar, toffee, toasted dark/brown bread, light coffee/smoke/herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of raspberries, dark/roast/bready malt, lactose, and cocoa nib notes; with good strength. Taste of lightly tart/tangy raspberries, milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, vanilla, cream, brown sugar, toffee, toasted dark/brown bread, light coffee/smoke/herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness. Mild herbal/roast bitterness and fruit tang/tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of lightly tart/tangy raspberries, milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, vanilla, cream, brown sugar, toffee, toasted dark/brown bread, light coffee/smoke/herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of raspberries, dark/roast/bready malt, lactose, and cocoa nib flavors; with a nice roasted bitter/sweet and fruit tang/tartness balance; with zero cloying flavors after the finish. Slightly increasing dryness from hop/roast bitterness and fruit tang/tartness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready, and slightly sticky/chalky/tangy/acidic mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.2%. Overall this is a delicious fruited milk stout. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of raspberries, dark/roast/bready malt, lactose, and cocoa nib flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mildly tart/bitter finish. Really great balance of raspberries and the base milk stout; never gets too overwhelming, tart, or tannic on fruit. A very enjoyable offering.
