Pours golden with a huge, fluffy white head. Aroma of bread and dry yeast. Taste has lightly floral malt, hint of honey. Palate has some neutral malt, hints of acerbic grain, floral note lingers. Good.

500 ml can into lager glass, no can dating. Pours crystal clear pale golden/yellow color with a 1 finger dense and rocky white head with awesome retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Dense soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of cracker, white bread dough, biscuit, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Some pear/apple yeast fruitiness in the aromas, but not too overwhelming. Okay aromas with pale malt and light earthy hop notes; with decent strength. Taste of cracker, white bread dough, biscuit, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Minimal herbal/grassy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of cracker, white bread dough, biscuit, and herbal/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Good robustness of pale malt and light earthy hop flavors; with a nice malt/bitterness balance, and zero cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Fairly crisp/clean finishing. Lightly increasing dryness from bitterness. Fairly clean on lager flavors; mildly fruity/yeasty. Medium carbonation light body; with a very smooth, fairly bready/grainy, lightly sticky mouthfeel that is good. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5%. Overall this is a okay pale lager. A bit too fruity/yeasty in the aromas, but has good levels of pale malt and light earthy hop flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink; with the minimally bitter/drying finish. Nicely flavorful for the ABV, never watery feeling. This grew on me through the glass. Fairly clean pils malt flavors, with just enough hop balance. An enjoyable offering.

After picking this up, along with some Baltic skunk juice, from an ethnic grocer that’s going out of business, I find that in over 3 years, I’ve only had one new rating from Germany. So this is worth something, especially as it ticks off one more German state for me. For a brewer in the former East Germany, they’re kind of far away to be slapping the word "Belgium" all over their can. Does anyone else think this has a Belgian character or just a neighborhood cheap German beer? Well, this does pour a decent pils smell, and the beer is a clean, golden color under a spongy head that’s leaving some lace behind. Gotta say the taste is not bad, just not noticeable. Yes, it does start to leave a sugary taste on my mouth past the middle of the .5 L can, and the alcohol does start to hit a little hard. For a cheap beer that’s usually found among the Baltic swill, I would have not trouble setting out a bucket of these at a gathering.

Found a 24 pack of 0.5L cans at my local distributor, Beaver Co Beverage for $19. Even warm from the can, this is not a bad brew, fairly smooth and easy going. Can’t wait to try it cold. Does have some of tat mild euro pils smell when you first pop the can but its all smooth sailing after that. Glad I stopped over at the local PALCB distributor today! This was pretty good compared to that bitter nebraska IPA I had earlier, quite refreshing.

Clear Pale Yellow, Good Bubbly Head, Leaves Spotty Lacing. Grainy, lightly Sweet, Metallic Finish.Faint Bitter Aftertaste. Good Thirst Quencher, generic Pilsener, nothing stands out, good or bad. Decent for what it is.

Pour is a blonde with a large whtie head. Aroma is almost nothing. Some malt is there but this is usuing you imagination. Flavor is malty and sweet. Almost to sweet for the style. This was not a good beer.
