Slumbering for 18 months, Ghosts in the Forest is a blend of beer from The Lost Abbey Oak Foeders and a few select French oak barrels. This blonde sour focuses on the complexity of Brettanomyces and oak.
“When we first got these massive Foeders, we knew we were going to have to be patient and let the oak work it’s magic” said Tomme Arthur, COO and Co-Founder of The Lost Abbey. “We’ve since added 3 additional vessels, creating our own “forest” and we’re really excited to start to blending these beers into future creations.”

opalescent golden colour, minimal off-white head; aroma of lemony, tart-woody, earthy and leather-like notes; taste of lemony, tart, sour-cherry-like, salty and woody notes; great wild ale - many thanks for sharing, kapusil!

0.375l bottle. Hazy golden body with a minimal white head. Aroma of wood, vanilla, vinegar, apples and lemon zest. It opens up a bit slowly but it gets quite pleasent. Taste of wood, vinegar, salt, lemon zest and some apples. Very nice.

Bottle. Pours a clear pale yellow with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has light tart fruits and a decent amount of oak with a bit of funk underlying. Flavor has sour light fruits with some oak and a bit of funk underlying.

Bottle 37,5 cl. Pours an almost clear golden, with a white head. Funky, fruity nose, quite some acetic acid. Medium body, oaky tannins, fruity base but then again quite somefunky acetic acid. Not overly done, but less complex that its Guava sibling. 110319
