Our Farmhouse IPA is a celebration of native Michigan hops that we carefully selected to give juicy flavors reminiscent of pineapple, tangerine & pear. Our farmhouse yeast adds an additional layer of citrus character that blends beautifully with the toasted bread notes from the locally grown unmalted wheat used in the mash. We leave this beer rustic and unfiltered to maximize flavor.

Pint can from beer abuser Bella's in Sault St Marie. 8.12.21. Canned on 6/5/19. Bought last month. Massive gusher. Lost about 2/3 of the beer. I won't hold it against the brewery. Hazy orange, large tan head, good retention. Aroma of stale tangerine, pale malt. Taste is sweet malt, tangerine, leafy hops. Full bodied. Good despite the abuse. This would have been fantastic fresh.

16 oz can. Hazy golden amber pour with a white head. Floral hop, citrus, biscuity aromas. Flavor is floral and citrus hops, but fairly gentle, with the yeasty flavor mixing in and creating a very soft impression overall. Not quite what I expected, but it's rather nice.

16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 10/2/2017. Pours lightly hazy medium orange/amber color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big tangerine, pineapple, peach, pear, apricot, grapefruit, red apple, mango, melon, guava, white grape, peppercorn, light banana/clove, honey, light caramel, toasted bread, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity hops, fruity/spicy yeast, and bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tangerine, pineapple, peach, pear, apricot, grapefruit, red apple, mango, melon, guava, white grape, peppercorn, light banana/clove, honey, light caramel, toasted bread, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate pine/citrus peel/grassy bitterness and peppery yeast spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, pineapple, peach, pear, apricot, grapefruit, red apple, mango, melon, guava, white grape, peppercorn, light banana/clove, honey, toasted bread, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity hops, fruity/spicy yeast, and bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitter/spiciness balance, and zero cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from bitter/spiciness. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth and moderately creamy/bready/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 7%. Overall this is an excellent Belgian IPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity hops, fruity/spicy yeast, and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with modestly bitter/spicy/drying finish. A bit maltier than expected for the style, but really well balanced between local hops and Belgian yeast; nice malt backbone without being too sweet/heavy feeling for the style. Really great levels of complexity from the yeast and hops; nicely juicy feeling. A very enjoyable offering.
