Like all honeymoons, this divine nectar is simply unforgettable. It’s inspired from a distant era where the father of the bride would give his new son-in-law honey-flavoured beer for the first month of marriage. Honey, which completes the bottle refermentation process, is a perfect match for the hoppy bouquet with rich hints of spices, herbs and wildflowers.

Pours slightly hazed deep gold into a shaker. Bright white micro head with excellent retention recedes leaving thin sheets. Banana and age aromas. Sweet with hot caramel, cardboard and earthy sourdough. This one was past its prime... bb date 5 months ago was enthusiastically overlooked in order to try.

12 ounce bottle from Discount Liquors, 1/27/19. Well it was orange until a fuck ton of sediment, and now it's a dark orange nearing brown. Hazy, thin creamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of honey, yeast, orange. Taste is honey, nougat, bright citrus, yeast. Medium bodied, low carbonation.

Not my favorite type of beer, but I appreciate how Lune de Miel accentuates the honey center without growing cloy or overbearing. Honey permeates the pint, but never saturates the palate, instead adding a subtle sweetness to the usual Belgian strong ale suspects. Clove, dried fig and plum, candi sugar, and straw all make their presence known, while the finish dries out somewhat, leading to a honey essence fade not overly sugary or thick. Loses points on the pour, coming out a hazy orange-gold with a fizzy, brief head and no lace. Nose is honey, straw, and clove. Sparkly, medium-bodied texture is classice Belgian, and there's no trace of the 8% ABV. Better than I expected.

Early November 2017. Always nice to see a new Unibroue. Flowery, effervescent Belgian Honey Ale. Sublime Belgo/Quebecois sensibilities...great mouthfeel. Pretty much nails it. Full bodied, but not overbearing. Quality stuff.

355 ml bottle. Hazy honey gold color. Moderate sized fluffy white head. Nice lacing. Perfumy, yeasty nose. Hints at cat pee. Soft, sweet, yeasty biscuit malt upfront. Slightly medicinal, citrus notes. Dry, citrus peel and coriander notes in finish. Mellow, boozy and mitigating. Interesting.

bottle - Pours cloudy orange with a sizable lingering head. It smells yeasty, spicy, and fruity. The flavor is definitely sweet up front with honey apparent alongside the spicy Unibroue house yeast. Drying finish. Mild fruity notes. Quite good though I think my personal preference would be for a little lighter on the honey.
