Double New England style India Pale Ale brewed with oats and a blend of Citra, Azacca, Amarillo, El Dorado, and Mosaic hops—the largest dry hop to date in SBC history! Deep orange in color with a permanent haze and a minimal head, a glass of Slurm Lord resembles a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice. Aromas of dank passion fruit, mango, and pineapple and bold flavors of citrus. This medium-bodied India Pale Ale is incredibly juicy from start to finish.

Pours hazy pale yellow with a two finger quickly fading head. The aroma is very citrusy. The flavor is malty and citrusy with mild to moderate bitterness. It’s alright. Not sure I’d call this a double as to me it’s not that intense, but the brewery did.

Can from Livonia Liquor. Pours a deep hazy gold with a full finger of soapy white head that lingers. Lots of pithy citrus, tangerine, pineapple and papaya on the nose. A bit of alcohol is noticeable as it warms up. Balanced on the palate with a bit of hop burn on the finish. Not bad.

Lime, orange, bready malt, pine, and grapefruit peel aroma. Murky golden yellow with moderate white head. Mildly sweet lime/orange, light biscuit malt, and moderately bitter earthy grapefruit peel flavor. Okay body - on the light side.

Green and pink can,not quite ordinary. Yes its hazy but is it imperial? I think not, does not have the kick of an impy. Difficult? Yes but it does not rise to the occasion of a double or an impy. Just saying. its just another ubiquitous, being cloudy, stupid ass IPA. There you have it, what else can be said? What? Its New England? WGAS?

Bottle. Cloudy, dingy orange-brown body, thin dense off-white head. Pulpy, juicy nose, with tangerine and papaya. Creamy body, with notes of papaya juice, orange/tangerine, and stone fruit, with a vegetal bitter bite. Quite good, hits most of the marks.

On draught at Bob's Bar during the "Prairie Artisan Ales!" event on 08/10/2017. The beer is a cloudy dark golden color with a medium off-white head that diminishes gradually to a film. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. The aroma consists of tropical fruit, dank hops and malt. Medium body with flavors of citrusy hops, melon and roast malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a fruity hop aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 7/13/2017. Pours opaquely hazy golden orange/amber color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, berry, lemon/orange zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, berry, lemon/orange zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light pine, herbal, grassy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, berry, lemon/orange zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero hop astringency after the finish. Slightly increasing dryness from bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy, and lightly sticky mouthfeel that that is great. Mildly warming finish from 7.7%. Overall this is a great NE DIPA! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the very mildly bitter/drying finish. Enjoyed this just as much as regular slurm, but this was a definite improvement on the style accuracy. This is way less piney, bitter, and rindy; and instead being super juicy, vibrant, and dank on hops; with perfectly balanced malts and no residual sweetness. A very enjoyable offering.

12 oz bottle. Pours a fully hazed gold yellow with a bubbly, brief white head. Looks pretty awful, to be honest, but I know at least the haziness is intentional. Piney floral pineapple hop aroma. Juicy pineapple and grapefruit, floral and pine flavors. Low bitterness makes it easy to drink. Rather tasty overall, certainly on the lighter side of double IPAs!
