Crisp, very clear golden coloured body with a peach and orange glow and a thinnish tan head, about a centimetre or two tall. Aroma of grass, light biscuity malt with some honey and grain and a finish of pure hops - more on the grassy and herbal side, but very pungent and high in alpha acids. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong grassy and very tropical fruity hops dominate at first with a large bitterness and a dry finish, all with a light but neutral malt backbone, which is nice for a lager and a mellow yet noticeable sweetness near the end. Aftertaste is dry, hoppy, floral and showing some good tropical fruit notes. Overall, a very nice lager and a great beer for the season - this is my first from the brewery, and I sampled it very fresh, but this was highly enjoyable and well worth trying to find if you can grab it! I sampled this stubby twelve ounce bottle purchased from Siciliano’s in Grand Rapids, Michigan by my dad on 13-June-2017 for US$1,69, sampled at home on the Eastern Shore in Pungoteague, Virginia on 02-July-2017 - Thanks Dad!

12 ounce bottle into lager glass, bottled on 5/8/2017. Pours crystal clear medium golden/yellow color with a 1 finger dense and rocky off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Thick soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, passion fruit, mango, melon, lemon zest, orange peel, light pepper, pine, biscuit, light honey/toast, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, passion fruit, mango, melon, lemon zest, orange peel, light pepper, pine, biscuit, light honey/toast, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate pine/citrus peel/grassy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, passion fruit, mango, melon, lemon/orange peel, pine, biscuit, light honey/toast, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero lingering hop astringency after the finish. Very clean and lager flavors, with zero yeast notes present. Light-moderate dryness from lingering bitterness, increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately crisp, bready/grainy/sticky, and slightly resinous balanced mouthfeel that is awesome. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 6.3%. Overall this is an outstanding IPL! All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and easy to drink. Very juicy, dank, and vibrant on hops; nice malt backbone with no residual sweetness. Never overly aggressive on bitterness. A highly enjoyable offering.
