16 ounce can into pint glass, best before 5/8/2017. Pours clear nearly opaque dark brown/black color with a 1 finger dense khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big banana and banana peels; with lighter notes of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, vanilla, cream, and roasted earthiness. Nice aromas with big banana presence; and lighter dark/roast malt and cocoa/lactose notes; with big strength. Overpowering on the banana in the aromas, but not offensive. Taste of big banana, milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, brown sugar, toasted dark bread, vanilla, cream, light herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness. Light herbal/roasted bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of banana, milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, brown sugar, toasted dark bread, vanilla, cream, and roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of bananas, cocoa/lactose, and dark/roast/bready malt flavors; with a great roasted bitter/sweet balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Slight dryness from herbal/roast bitterness, lightly increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready, and lightly silky/sticky/chalky balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.2%. Overall this is a very nice fruited milk stout. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of bananas, cocoa/lactose, and dark/roast/bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink. Overpowering aromas on the bananas, but the flavors were really well balanced; and this was very enjoyable all around.
