12 oz. bottle. Pours hazy amber with a light beige head. Malty aroma with a faint hint of cherry. Taste is malt, cherry notes, caramel, cough syrup. Medicinal. Sweet finish. A mess - not sure what this is supposed to be.

Cloudy copper colored pour with a khaki head and decent retention. Spotty lacing. Sour tasting cherry and dark fruit ale flavor with a light booze finish. Not my preferred flavor profile. 7.0 ABV only slightly hidden.

Beautifully short stubby bottle 4/5/17. Fruit beer, heheh, come - on. Pop the lid for a ghostly slight nose of hidden volatile fruit. Darker than pale in color, yet clear. First taste is somewhat domestic barley wine with old fruit laden effects. Kick ass, go to it, a do something freaky thang. Yes, an old fruity alky brew. Fruit? IDK. Big and blasting? YES - Over the top alky fruity funny getting dizzy stuff. Yes, pretty fresh but ironically it seems like it may have a little age on it. Quite unique for a fruity, if you can call it that. Probably should be rated as a strong lager, heheeh. Thicker mouth coating medicinal feeling in the middle. Finishes with difficult alky fruit, aged in a mason jar.

Pour is a amber red with a large white head. Aroma Is a sweet berry and not much else. Flavor is more of a cherry presence with a little sweetness and a minor bitterness. After the aroma this turns into a nice fruit beer.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 9/9/2016. Pours slightly hazy deep reddish copper color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of tart cherry, berry, lemon, pomegranate, caramel, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, light pepper, and herbal/toasted earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of cherry, hibiscus, and moderate dark/bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of tart cherry, berry, lemon, pomegranate, caramel, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, light pepper, and herbal/toasted earthiness. Light-moderate herbal/spicy bitterness and tannic fruit tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of tart cherry, berry, lemon, pomegranate, caramel, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, pepper, herbal/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice complexity, robustness, and balance of cherry, hibiscus, and moderate dark/bready malt flavors; with a good malt/bitter/tartness balance; and a bit of lingering bitter/tannic astringency after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from tannic bitter/tartness, increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a smooth, moderately creamy/grainy/sticky, and fairly acidic/tannic mouthfeel that is okay. Alcohol is fairly well hidden, with a small warmth lingering after the finish. Overall this is a good fruit beer. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of cherry, hibiscus, and moderate dark/bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink. This would have been much better without the lingering bitter/tannic flavors, but was still nicely enjoyable.

Sample at Jolly Pumpkin Ann Arbor. Cloudy reddish-brown color with a medium thin light beige head that dissipates steadily to a thin outer ring. Spotty lacing. Fruit, wheat and malt aroma. Medium body with flavors of cherry, herbal wheat and malt. The finish is fruity with a hibiscus and cherry aftertaste. Decent overall.
