Bottle that has peacefully sat in the back of the fridge for ages. Pour is far darker than expected... kind of a coppery amber. Head is minimal and aromas are indicating that maybe this would have been better a year ago - or maybe it was always like this. Just a touch of apple cider vinegar, some cardboard (too much aging?), a bit of cherry... but the whole thing is kind of washed out on the nose. Flavor is similar... it's decent, especially after it airs out a bit, but it is kind of bland and it has a slightly medicinal edge to it on every other sip. Decent, but not a great one.

Bottle. Pours a deep amber with a white head that dissipates nearly completely. Aroma has a combination of light sour fruits and oak with some light grains underlying. Flavor has a combination of earthy grains and light tart fruits with some oak supporting.

500 ml bottle into tulip glass; no bottle dating, but is a recent release. Pours hazy orange/copper color with a 1 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big peach, apricot, strawberry, pineapple, mango, passion fruit, guava, lemon, orange, pepper, white wine, toasted bread, hay, grass, light funk, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast and moderate bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big peach, apricot, strawberry, pineapple, mango, passion fruit, guava, lemon, orange, pepper, white wine, toasted bread, hay, grass, light funk, and yeast earthiness. Moderate yeast spiciness, and fair amount of fruity/acidic tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of peach, apricot, strawberry, pineapple, mango, passion fruit, guava, lemon, orange, pepper, white wine, toasted bread, hay, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy/acidic yeast and moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/tart/spiciness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from tart/spiciness as well. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and lightly acidic/creamy/grainy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol as expected of 5.9%. Overall this is a great Brett wild ale. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy/acidic yeast and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the balanced tartness. A very enjoyable offering.
