Dragon’s Milk Triple Mash is the ultimate indulgence, the result of years of honing technique and pushing the limits of what a barrel-aged stout can be.

Dragon’s Milk Triple Mash is aged for one year in select bourbon barrels. The flavors of Dragon’s Milk – chocolate, roasted malt, vanilla, & oak – are all amplified in away that still allows for balance and refinement to shine through.

Roast, some booze. Definitely some mash malt. Definitely a little Kentucky in this. Pours syrupy. Black with ok head. Tangy and bitter finish. Tap at Savor.

12 ounce bottle into snifter, bottled on 10/7/2015. Pours nearly opaque dark brown/black color with a small dense khaki head with solid retention, that reduces to a spotty lace cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings around the glass, with a light amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, molasses, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, bourbon, toasted oak, dark bread, raisin, prune, fig, light licorice, and oak/roasted earthiness. A bit of booze shows up as it warms, but not much. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malt, bourbon barrel, and light-moderate dark fruit notes; with great strength. Taste of big chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, molasses, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, bourbon, toasted oak, dark bread, raisin, prune, fig, light licorice, and oak/roasted earthiness. Light-moderate roasted bitterness and bourbon/oak spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, molasses, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, bourbon, toasted oak, dark bread, raisin, prune, fig, light licorice, and oak/roasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, bourbon barrel, and light-moderate dark fruit flavors; with a great roasted bitter/sweet and bourbon/oak spiciness balance and zero cloying sweetness after the finish. Some light drying character from bourbon/oak spiciness as well. Light-medium carbonation and full bodied; with a smooth, creamy/silky, and lightly slick/syrupy/chalky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is fairly well hidden with a moderate warming lingering after the finish; with minimal booziness. Overall this is an outstanding barrel aged imperial stout! All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, bourbon barrel, and light-moderate dark fruit flavors; and dangerously smooth to sip on for the huge ABV, even with the warming finish. This is huge on the barrel character, but still has a nice balance of malt sweetness. A highly enjoyable offering.

Poured from bottle thanks Willrunforbeer dark cola pour with a minimal tan head. Aromas of dark fruit caramel vanilla and chocolate. Taste is smooth velvety with notes of coca and the Abv is well hidden. Some might be put off with the sweetness but a nice beer.

12 oz. bottle thanks going to Willrunforbeer, thanks. Almost black, brown highlights when held to the light. No head on this stout. Aroma is molasses, chocolate cake batter, weak tones of maple sugar. No bourbon on the nose but it is lightly noticeable in the flavor.

Wow! I never would guess this is a 14 % ABV stout. Really, really smooth. The cake batter / chocolate base is full and dense. The molasses and oak comes off sweet but does hidden the huge alcohol notes. This really is 14 %? Wouldn’t know it. Real nice.

On tap at Republic. Pours a clear near black with a creamy brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of dark grains with some roasted malts, a bit of whiskey and some dark fruits. Flavor has lots of dark grain with growing roasted malts and a bit of whiskey.

Bottle from mikem409, thanks for the opportunity! Solid black color, frothy tan head with good retention. Big roasty fruity chocolate with plenty of bourbon oak vanilla and hints of coconut. Warming alcohol is strong but not harsh leaving you the opportunity to sip this one slowly. I enjoyed the hell out of this beer!
