Bottle, courtesy of Petra & Jose, thanks a lot guys!! Pours oily jet black with brown head. Nose is roasted malts, dried fruits, cognac, coffee and booze. Taste is a nice balance between the light bitterness, coffee and earthy notes from the roasted malts and the sweet booze, touch of cognac and grapes amd dried fruity notes. Closes with a long lasting finish, has medium to heavy, oily body and soft carbonation.

Big thank you to kappldav123 for that bottle. Pours out oily. Pitch black in the glass, with a small darkest foamy beige head. Intensive sweet malty dark fruity alcoholic smell. Taste is malty, roasted, sweet dark fruity, plums, dark berries, some vanilla. smooth barrel wood. Really complex. Warming boozy ending.

Bottle shared. Black indeed with creamy light brown head. Red wine, dry oak, thick roasted malts, ash, sherry, brandy, licorice, dry earthy old roasted ashy grains, old coffee fresh. Booze. Full sweet and over medium bitter. Full bodied. Quite rough and boozy, also tastes very old, maybe it was aged too long in the barrels? It’s decent but not great.
Struise whalez
