Poured into a nonic pint glass, the appearance was a nice looking semi-dark copper to red sort of color with a two finger white foamy head that dissipated at a nice pace. Spotty lace.
The aroma had some caramel/toffee malts up front then some brown sugar, toast, biscuit, some nuttiness and roast. Then some herbal/floral/grassy hops meld with a little bit of citrus.
The flavor has a malty rich invasiveness over the sweetness of the previously mentioned aromas. Earthy/herbal qualities serve only to balance. Mostly malty sort of aftertaste. Quick dry malty sort of finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Good carbonation. ABV felt as appropriate as projected by the brewer.
Overall, very nicely done amber ale that is definitely recommended for fans of the style.

The beer is a dark amber color with a medium light beige head that dissipates gradually to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing. Aroma of malt, fruit and slight hops. Light to medium body with flavors of caramel malt, ripe fruit and earthy hops. The finish is sweet with a malty aftertaste. Decent overall.

16 ounce can into pint glass, canned on 7/27/2015. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy deep reddish copper color with a 2 finger dense and rocky light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of caramel, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness/roast, herbal, floral, grass, light citrus, and herbal/toasted earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/bready/roast malts and earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of big caramel, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness/roast, herbal, floral, grass, light citrus, and herbal/toasted earthiness. Moderate amount of herbal/grassy and lightly roasted bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of caramel, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness/roast, floral, grass, light citrus, and herbal/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/bready/roast malts and earthy hop flavors; with a good malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and moderately creamy/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming lingering after the finish. Overall this is a very nice standard amber ale style. All around good robustness, complexity, and balance of dark/bready/roast malts and earthy hop flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. A very enjoyable offering.
