Poured from a 12 oz bottle. Aroma is rather fruity with some medium citrus, moderate tropical fruit and some light berry notes. It’s an interesting hop aroma unless the fruit is coming from the yeast which is possible. Some light cracker notes and hints of honey like oxidation. Pours a hazy, dull, orangish brown with a medium small, moderately thick, white head that recedes to the edges and lingers. Light lacing and small legs. Flavor has a light sweetness with a bit of a grain note. Medium bitterness with a moderate hop note. Lots of fruit esters with tropical and stone fruit with a bit of red apple. Some medium light citrus notes with some light honey oxidation character. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, an alright beer with a lot of esters, but they overwhelm everything and leave the beer a bit too fruity and off. Also some slight oxidation.

Purchased at Bottles and Cans in Chicago, IL; enjoyed at home on a quiet and rainy Friday night. I’m liking this one, wasn’t too big on this brewery at first but I’m coming around. Appearance is cloudy gold with a rich and frothy white head. Aroma is very tropical, mostly mango, smell is delicate and sweet. Taste is fantastic, very mellow, light fruit, light pine, dry finish. Good stuff!

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 5/29/2015. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy pale golden color with a 2 finger dense and rocky white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of lemon zest, tangerine, pineapple, peach, passion fruit, orange peel, light pine, cracker, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with bright citrus/tropical hops and light-moderate pale malt notes; with good strength. Taste of lemon zest, tangerine, pineapple, peach, passion fruit, orange peel, pine, cracker, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Good amount of pine/citrus rind bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon/orange peel, tangerine, pineapple, peach, passion fruit, pine, cracker, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity and robustness of bright citrus/tropical/piney hops and light-moderate pale malt flavors; with a crisp malt/bitterness balance; with some lingering bitterness after the finish, but it doesn’t get too astringent. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, crisp, and resinous/sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice SMaSH pale ale. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of bright citrus/tropical/piney hops and light-moderate pale malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. Needs to be toned down on bitterness since there is only Pilsner malt for balance, but otherwise really enjoyable.
