Deep dark red and copper coloured body with a two centimetre tall tan head that fades relatively quickly. Aroma of toffee, alcohol, caramel, nuts, earth, pungent grain and a dose of more herbal hops. Full-bodied; Deep robust alcohol warmth up front with a punch of bourbon and oak from the barrel aging along with some grass and dry hay, a lot of caramel and toffee sweetness closer towards the end, but the robust and deeply pungent astringent hops and alcohol top everything else. Aftertaste shows a deep and robust pungent oak, vanilla, bourbon and almost tequilla note with a lot of dry hops from pine and earth qualities, along with a lot of dry grain and peat flavours with a touch of sweetness on the absolute finish. Overall, a robust and quite strong beer that shows a good deal of hops, but the real punch behind this is the caramelised sugars coupled with the tons of alcohol and bourbon/barrel aging notes that make this quite pungent throughout. I sampled this stubby twelve ounce bottle purchased from Greenville Beer Exchange in Greenville, South Carolina on 31-May-2018 for US$4,74 sampled in my hotel room next to my home here in Washington on 14-July-2018.

Dosc dziegciowo - drewniane. Slodkawe i geste, troszke ziolowe? Troszke wanilin? Ma goryczke. Ciekawe. Ale niespecjalnie pod gust.

Tåkete brun med lavt beige skum. Lukter trevirke, bourbon og tørket frukt. Middels fylde. Smaker søtlig karamell, tydelig bourbon, trevirke og bitter sitrusskall. Middels lang.

Pours clear reddish brown with large foamy beige head, faint sweet woodsy aroma, adequate carbonation, bitter caramel taste with some woodsy sweetness, throat burning alcohol undertones, and citrus peel, thin body, long bitter finisg, Quite bitter and interesting flavor profile.
