Pounder: Pecan, soil, kibble nose. Hazy brown, thick sticky head. Caramel, pecan, slightly vegetal and stale. Smoky accents. Medium body, soft carbonation. Probably American Strong would be a better classification.

Pint can pours with a clear copper amber body that supports a nice light tan head of foam that leaves behind some spotty lacing. The aroma offers up crystal malts, pine hop nuanced molasses, earthy malty grains and a thin sense of tobacco leaves. The taste delivers similar notes of sweet crystal malts, some pine hops, earthy slightly wet tobacco leaf, bitter floral hops and a bit of orange peel. Interesting. To midway a thin Mt. Hood like spicy black licorice hoppiness joins in the flavor matrix. Pretty nice. I like the divergent yet somehow also harmonious hop medley being played here.

Deep amber coloured body with a copper glow and a rich, three to four centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of tons of malts, nuts, caramel, earth and a bit more grain, no real hop scents, except for the very end. Medium-bodied; Assertively malty with a big dose of caramel and pungent earth right behind, all with a tiny bit of very light spices around the edges and a dose of the metal and more astringent yeast quality near the end. Aftertaste shows some more caramelised sugars along with a dose of toffee and grain with very little hop flavour noticeable at the tail end. Overall, a pretty sub-standard beer from the brewery and for the style. I liked the name and figured that the beer would hold up, but it surely does not. Worth passing up, even if you do enjoy Imperial IPAs as this is not even worth spending money on to sample a relatively inferior product. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can purchased a few hours ago at Knightly Spirits (Orange Blossom Trail) in Orlando, Florida on 28-December-2017 for US$3,99 sampled in my hotel room here on Disney World [Dolphin] a few hours later on 28-December-2017.

Can from Village Beer Merchant. Caramel, bit of toffee, some citrus and pine. Nothing special.

Poured from can dated 10/25/17 hazy red with a tan head. Aroma is caramel dough hops and yeast. Taste is bitter hops caramel.

16 fl oz can. Pours deep orange, off white head. Aroma is mild herbal to spced. Toasted malt. Toffee, caramlish and slight bresdish to cookie. Bitter sdn toffee malt finish.

16 oz. can. Pours a clear dark copper hue with a creamy light beige head. Aroma of caramel malt, herbs. Resinous. Taste follows nose. Very resinous. Grassy. Lots of herbal flavors. Bark. Some burnt notes. Interesting.

Pour is a dark red-brown with a large tan foamy head. Aroma is some oily malt with sugar and very little hop. Flavor is way more malty than hoppy. Some toasted and chocolate malt but again very little hops show up. I don't think the German hops ever had a chance to stand up to the heavy malt used. This is way more a winter warmer than IPA.

Can from Cap Tap. Pours copper with a slight white head. Aroma of roasty malt with some mixed hop. Med body or so. It's kind of "cookie" flavored. Not at all dry. Moderately bitter. It is a winter type of beer. Hop seems a bit spicy. Seems to have some pine. Fun label. Nice departure from the main scene.

Aroma: The nose is bready malts first and foremost, some unfresh hops (herbal and a little pine)
Appearance: Pours a slightly cloudy orange-Amber color with a small off-white head and light lace
Flavor: The hops come through slightly nicer than in the aroma, light sweet, lingering bitterness
Palate: Light-medium body, soft feel, seems to almost finish quickly, before a very late dryness
Overall Impression: Celebrating St. Patrick's Day with a beer with Reindeer in the name. That's a really interesting mouthfeel. It falls almost completely off, then a lingering, dry hop bitterness shows up and sticks around. Very unusual. I can't think of too many beers that finish like this. The rest of the beer is only okay. It is not super impressive or memorable. However, that finish is leaving me with an odd impression that I wasn't excepting. That's the memorable part for me. The rest is kind of dull.
