Can. Pours clear dark amber-copper with a large spongy beige head, faint caramel malt aroma, medium carbonation, initially sweet medium bitter caramel malt taste, faint piney flavor, thin body, long finish. Very good brew.

Can at home. Ruby chestnut colored brew with fine foamy head, the coloration certainly surprises me. Nose is herbal and caramel. Tastes of caramel, cherry, herbal, light euro hops. Fruity finish. Little booze.

12 ounce can from Festival Lacrosse, 6/28/21. Amber, large head, good retention. Aroma of strong grain, caramel, citrus. Taste is tangerine, tropical fruit, grain. Juicy, low bitterness. Decent.

Surprisingly decent Bavarian IPA. That said, it's two months past due and didn't thrill me enough to not save calories and pour the last third.

Can stamped Best by 31 January 21. The aromas are citrus with a little bit of resin hops, and toasty caramel malt. Flavors are like nose, mildly sweet up front with some bitterness in the back. Decent body carbonation and finish. A hoppy Amber.

Can (best by 1/31/21) pour from the 12 Beers of Christmas pack from The Lazy Dog Beer Shoppe. Appearance is hazy dark amber-light brown with nice sparkle, finger-width beige head with excellent retention and light leggy lacing. Aroma is initial pine and citrus with dominant caramel and brown sugar. Taste is dominant sweet malt (like yellow cake) with a bit of bubblegum; no real sign of hops except late bittering. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with smooth texture, average-to-lively carbonation and finish as taste with late mild bitterness. Overall, can't really say if this is appropriate or not for the Bavarian IPA style. Would say the hops taste should at least match the aroma. Odd, and over carbonated.

Can from the 12 Beers of Christmas Pack - Day 02. Poured a deep, hazy amber-red color with a medium sized off-white head. Aroma was vanilla, sweet malts. Grassy notes, with some light funky yeast character. Flavor was grassy, herbal, with toasted malt notes. I liked it, but not exactly my thing - not refreshing enough.

12oz can. 7%. Amber malt takes it in a Red IPA direction. Murky amber-burgundy pour. Steady, large, soapy off-white head. Thick cherry vanilla tones from the Red X Winter malt, lending a winter warmer tone. Hops are sort of just there for balance, not much flavor or tone there. OK.
