Bottle shared at Sander stag. Pours clear, black-brown with a creamy, tan head. The nose has some prunes, light roast and cocoa. Medium sweet flavour with chewy chocolate, ripe berries, more prune, some brown sugar, light phenols. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly warming on the finish, with more gooey cocoa, light yeast expression, brown bread, raisins. Fun beer.

750 ml bottle into tulip glass; no bottle dating, but is a recent release. Pours fairly pitch black color with a 2 finger fairly dense dark brown head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big raisin, plum, fig, date, banana, clove, pepper, dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, dark bread, light char/smoke, herbal, grass, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Fantastic aromas with awesome complexity and balance of fruity/spicy yeast and dark/roasted malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big raisin, plum, fig, date, banana, clove, pepper. dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, dark bread, light char/smoke, herbal, grass, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Good amount of earthy yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of raisin, plum, fig, date, banana, clove, pepper, chocolate, cocoa, coffee, dark bread, light char/smoke, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity and robustness of fruity/spicy yeast and dark/roasted malt flavors; with an awesome yeast/malt balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and lightly creamy/chalky mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warming present after the finish. Overall this is an absolutely insane black saison style. All around fantastic complexity and balance of fruity/spicy yeast and dark/roasted malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to sip on for the huge ABV. An absolutely amazing offering.

Bottle. Pours a deep brown with a dark brown head that dissipates to the edges slowly. Aroma has a good amount of dark malts with Belgian yeast and some dark fruits backing. Flavor has lots of dark grains and dark fruits with backing Belgian yeast and a hint of vanilla.
