Aromas of big raisin, plum, fig, date, banana, clove, pepper, dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, dark bread, light char/smoke, herbal, grass, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Fantastic aromas with awesome complexity and balance of fruity/spicy yeast and dark/roasted malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big raisin, plum, fig, date, banana, clove, pepper. dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, dark bread, light char/smoke, herbal, grass, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Good amount of earthy yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of raisin, plum, fig, date, banana, clove, pepper, chocolate, cocoa, coffee, dark bread, light char/smoke, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity and robustness of fruity/spicy yeast and dark/roasted malt flavors; with an awesome yeast/malt balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and lightly creamy/chalky mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warming present after the finish. Overall this is an absolutely insane black saison style. All around fantastic complexity and balance of fruity/spicy yeast and dark/roasted malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to sip on for the huge ABV. An absolutely amazing offering.
