Bottle. Pours a clear gold with a yellow hue and a white head that lasts throughout the beer and laces slightly. Aroma has lots of citrus with a bitterness and a light sweet grain backbone. Flavor has a combination of sweet and bitter citrus with a bit of sweet grain in the finish.

Bottle poured to shaker. Hazy, light gold. Moderate citrus. Pine and grassy. Hoppy at first, then the bitterness coats the palate.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 8/7/2014. Pours fairly hazy bright gold color with a 1-2 finger dense white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, pineapple, pine, herbal, grass, cracker, bread, light honey, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/pine hops and moderate pale malt sweetness; with good strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, pineapple, citrus rind, pine, herbal, grass, cracker, bread, light honey, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Large amount of pine/citrus rind bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon/orange zest, pineapple, citrus rind, pine, bread, light honey, and herbal/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity and balance of big citrus/pine hops and moderate pale malt sweetness; with a crisp malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, crisp, and moderately sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice pale ale! All around good complexity and balance of big citrus/pine hops and moderate pale malt sweetness; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.
