Sample at the brewpub. The beer is a clear orange color with a medium white head that recedes steadily. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrusy hops and sweet malt. Medium body with flavors of citrus fruits and hops, along with sweet malt undertones. The finish is moderately hoppy with a citrus aftertaste. Decent overall.

Bottle. So this is the first beer I have ever poured that was all head. In disbelief, I stood back slightly and looked at the glass for any signs of an orangish liquid at the bottom... not a millimeter to be found! Aromas are OK, but pedestrian. A bit of funk (was this one infected?) with some grainy malts and light hops. Flavor was similar and it just tasted like and IPA that rode around in the back of the truck for the summer. Malt with a little bit of hops and a slightly skunky old edge to it. I’ll try this again, but I’m a little saddened that this isn’t the new Holy Grail of IPA’s.

Please ignore my numbers, I rate by how I enjoy them and I don’t care for hoppy IPA. You ask, then why did I taste? Well, because it was there. THis is as good example of an IPA that I have tasted, has all the good attributes. It is a little darker than you typical IPA, kinda orange brown. Bitter medicinal syrupy qualities coat the inside of your mouth. Like chewing on green grapefruit rinds? Give this a try, will not disappoint. Certainly a good example of an IPA. Finish is bitter lingering that lasts and lasts.

Sampled on draft at the brewery this beer pours a golden color with a small white head. There is a light flowery hop aroma. The flavor is moderately flowery and fruity hops and grows a bit dry on the finish.
