Attention grande bière en vu ! Je ne vois pas ce que vient faire le cow boy là-dedans mais c'est Imperial Stout magistral de Pohjala d'un équilibre parfait. Pourtant avec ajout de cassis et de piment, un vieillissement en fût de Bourbon et 12,5%, la brasserie cherchait la difficulté...pour au final nous sortir une bière exceptionnelle. Très jolie base déjà, sur une texture suprenamment fine, ce qui n'empêche pas d'avoir de beaux et intenses arômes de café et chocolat. Mais le plus intéressant est que cette base n'est pas trop sucrée et donc pas sur saturée et pour autant l'alcool ne dénote pas, très bien intégrée sans être agressif. Quant au cassis, piment et Bourbon, ceux-ci sont parfaitement dosé. Le cassis donne une petite pointe fruitée discrète mais réelle ; le piment donne du pep's sans mettre en feu le palais ; et le Bourbon donne de la chaleur et de la profondeur au tout. Et tout au long de la dégustation on prend plaisir à passer de l'un à l'autre de ces arômes. L'ensemble est élégant, fin… Du grand art.

0.33 l bottle at Goblet Beer Store, Zagreb. Shared with PH Pit and Peurača. Dark brown to black, oily, minimal head. Roasty and toasty aroma, chilli pepper, spices, molasses, dark chocolate, blueberry. Tart fruity flavour, roasty, dark cherry. Sticky, smooth and thick. Medium body, moderate finish. Well done.

Bottled 330ml. -from Goblet Zagreb. Pitch black coloured, medium sized brownish head, chocolate and light bourbon in the nose. Roasted malt, sweet, dark chocolate, some vanilla and wood with noticable alcohol in the finish.

Black with thin head. Aroma has vanilla and berries. Flavour is bitter with heavily roasted malts. The berries and Bourbon come back in the finish.

bottle from sauvire biere pitch dark, smooth brown head. aroma is flowers, roasted malts, booze, faint vanilla. flavor is moderate chillies, roasted malts, dry flavor profile, wood lagering, a little bit of coffee bitterness hidden in the chili bitterness. Quite well rounded, not that much chilies, also bourbon woody notes.

Black with a minimal light brown head. Aroma of wooden barrels, dark berries and coffee. Sweet with wooden barrels and dark berries Finnish. Full bodied, some alc sense at the end.
