A golden pils keller with a thick off white head. In aroma, faint grainy malt. In mouth, a good grainy malt with good saaz hops, smooth and rich. On tap at PA Flavor, April 9th, 2011.

Hazy gold beer, frothy white head. Palate seems a little soft for the style but I like it. Starts with a sweet fruitiness but then some bittering hops kick in. These run through to the crisp finish and beyond providing a bitter aftertaste. Unusual mix of sweet and bitter.

Holy cow - great hazy golden coloured body with a thick dense tan head, a very bright orange glow and a zillion small bubbles rising from the bottom and sides of the glass - this is how you’d want any lager to look like - wow. Mild cereal and citrus aroma with a touch of wheat, yeast and some mild hops - not a lot though! Medium-bodied; Assertive hop and spice character up front then fades pretty quickly to a citrusey, almost piney hop flavour, still not showing too much though. Aftertaste shows some hop bitterness, a twinge of yeast and some light sweetness. Overall, a very good looking and smelling beer and a decent tasting beer with a mild, minimalist finish. Worth trying, since it is a good lager for a hot summer day, but not the best i’ve had in this style. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Liquor Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 10-October-2010 sampled at home in Washington on 19-October-2010.

Location: 22 oz bottle from Buy Rite - Jersey City, 10/15/10

Aroma: The nose has some spice and grass hops, some hay, yeast, and some herbs
Appearance: It pours a hazy orange color with a thick, foamy white head and lots of lace
Flavor: It tastes less hoppy then it smells, it has a nice malt character, maybe a bit herbal in taste
Palate: The body is medium, it has a somewhat astringent feel to it, and a bit of stickiness as well
Overall Impression: I thought this beer was a good attempt. I liked the nose a bit better then the taste. I was expecting a little better hop flavor from the description, but overall it was pretty decent.

Gold with just a touch of amber. Aroma is mostly malt with some sweet caramel and a touch of hops. Full mouth. Flavor has a stronger hop presence than the aroma but still run by the sweet malts. The 7% is pretty well hidden, which when drank as a summer refresher, can really surprise you.... Good brew.

Very complex "lager." Orange amber pour. Pilsnerish nose. The taste is in three distinct stages: Initial peppermint spice followed by bitter hops, orange peel and barley and an extremely long sour mash malty finish. This is one you’ll either love or hate.

Bottle (12 oz, finally from Voodoo). This beer has a hazy light orange appearance with a little bit of a head (mostly bubbles floating around on the surface by the time I sit down to write). Aromas aren’t very compelling... kind of a mix of a very faint garbage smell with a little bit of honey and dough with a kiss of citrus. Flavor is very grainy with a little bit of grassy citrus and honey. Kind of chalky/gritty/grainy on the palate, and finish is a little on the sweet yet bitter side. I’m a little sad that this isn’t a more intriguing beer. I had held out some pretty big hopes for Voodoo based on the prices they were hoping to get for their bombers of the stuff.

22oz bottle-pours a white head and cloudy/hazy yellow color. Aroma is spice/grassy hops, some yeast. Taste is lots of grassy/herbal/wood-cedar/floral/citrus-orange rind hops bitterness, seocndry light/medium malt, yeast. Alcohol. A lot going on that doesn’t quite mesh.

Bottle. Cloudy yellow almost a whitish color. Good white creamy head. Nice spicy hop aroma. Clean and crisp with crackery malts and a spicy hop with a light to medium bitter finish. Really good but could use more hops actually.
