Can. Clear brown color with tan head. Aroma is chocolate, citra hops, not catty, nice combo. Taste is chocolate, mild roast, nice exotic hops. Chewy mouthfeel with fine-bubbled carbonation. Good!

This brew pours a brownish-black color with a medium tan head that recedes steadily. Partial rings of lacing. Aroma of roast malt, hops and fruit. Light to medium body with flavors of caramel malt, piney hops and fruit. The finish is roasty up front with a resiny hops aftertaste. Decent overall.

Shared bottle, poured in shaker. Black. Quick fading head. Fruity nose for a black beer. Nothing noteworthy or offputting on taste or palate. Not really hoppy. Roast malt subtle. Okay beer.

Interesting mix of citra hops with the dark malts of a black IPA. Combination of bitterness and acidity tingle your tongue and taste buds. Citrus dominates the aroma, malts kick in on first taste and linger at the finish. A touch of sweetness mixes in to keep you guessing.

Bottle. Pours black with a light brown head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has an interesting combination of citrus, light pine, dark grains and light roasted malts. Flavor starts with smooth roasted malts and a hint of chocolate and has bitter citrus in the finish.

Bottle - thanks blowOffTube! Pours deep clear ruby black with a small tan head that dissipates quickly and leaves decent lacing. Aroma is roasty, pine, citrus. Flavor is the same, light sweet and light bitter, definitely mixing the roast and hops well. Medium body, a bit watery on the palate. Nice effort.

12 oz bottle. Deep red brown pour with a light tan head. Piney citrus roasted aromas. Clean hoppy roasty flavor, with pine and roast, hints of floral and citrus. This is quite well-done. Very flavorful, but also light.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass; no bottle dating, but is a recent release. Pours lightly hazy nearly opaque reddish brown color with a 2 finger dense khaki head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings down the glass. Aromas of big tangerine, orange zest, pineapple, peach, lemon zest, roasted malt, cocoa, toast, light char, floral, grass, light pine, and floral/roasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good complexity and balance of hop and roasted malt notes; with good strength. Taste of tangerine, orange zest, pineapple, lemon zest, chocolate, roasted malt, toast, light char, floral, grass, light pine, and floral/roasted earthiness. Fair amount of pine/roasted bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of citrus, citrus zest, pineapple, chocolate, roasted malt, toast, floral, grass, and light pine on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity of hop and roasted malt flavors; with a very balanced hop/malt flavor balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth, lightly creamy, and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a very nice black IPA style. All around nice balance and complexity of hop and roasted malt flavors; and very smooth to drink. A very enjoyable offering.
