Bottle shared at Free Beer tasting. Slight hazy pale golden. Popcorn, peach, yoghurt, wheat, white wine, rice, lemon juice. Very sour, light sweet. Medium bodied. Typical US sour, decent styff but very very sour.

0.75l bottle from Beergium, shared with David, Sima & Pier. Aroma is vinous, funky, stone fruity and woody. Pours cloudy golden color with thin creamy white head and sparkling appearance. Taste starts tart vinous and citrusy, following is overripe tropical and stone fruity with smooth mouthfeel and sour finish. Medium to full body, slick texture and fizzy carbonation in palate. Super tart & super tasty…

75cl bottle with no best before or produced date, from beergium. great complex aroma, really nice fruity tartness with both wood and fruits, but yeast and wood is driving the aroma. really good aroma. flavor is quite acidic, lemons, also wild yeasty notes and fainter sweet fruity notes. Tastes like a modern american sour where they go bacteria and stuff, not just open air fermentation as in belgium. Flavor is super good though, the fermentation sourness is really shining through, with the fruits only adding a bit more complexity without sweetening things up unneccesarily. then finer notes of wild yeast and wood. great bottle. happy I bought it. the bottle was in the fridge for 3 days before I got aroud to having the last bit. With a sour inbetween, also good, I noticed how really outstanding good this is. upped overall from 17 to 18.

Bright golden colour with quick fading head. Aroma has a touch of woody dryness and hints of tropical fruits and barnyard funk. It's really dry. Woody notes. Sharp yellow stone fruit. Complex with a fantastic dryness. More and more funk in the aftertaste.

American style blonde sour ale by this brewery in San Diego, a collab with another one and apparently a blend of different batches; 75 cl bottle from Geers. Snow white, mousy, foamy but irregular and quickly opening head dissolving completely, hazy golden blonde robe with somewhat khaki-like tinge and swirls of visible sparkling throughout. Fruity, quite focused and mildly funky nose: yellow plums, dry white wine, grape skin, damp straw, wild apples, sherry vinegar, ripe gooseberry, lemon juice, egg yolk, cooked rhubarb, old dried lime peel, touch soap, kefir, wet vanilla-scented oak wood. Acidic onset, very lemony – and in this case not only in sourness, but also in actual flavour, in a quite elegant and refreshing way, mingled with impressions of unripe nectarine, green plum, gooseberry, lime and sour white grape; fizzy carbonation, strong and drying lactic tartness cutting in a ‘white yoghurt’-like way through the fruity esters and slick white-bready, supple malt backbone. Lovely vanilla-ish oakiness in the end, tannic in a ‘blank’ and pure kind of way, adding a rustic quality to an otherwise still enthusiastically fizzing sour ale. Ends almost like a very dry sparkling wine with a lemon peel-like hoppy touch to it and restrained earthiness. Highly refined and elegant within this style, more so than I was even hoping for really – not overly harshly acidic like many other American sours, nor overly dirty or yeasty, but remaining composed, lean and bright. Beautiful.
