Bottle from Total Wine Broad St. Richmond, VA. Brownish red with a small head. Very malty aroma w/ brown sugar, molasses. Smooth, malty taste with molasses and very subtle bitterness. Taste is a little disappointing considering the aroma, but still pleasant.

Bottle: Ruddy amber pour with a thick beige head. Aroma is mild with bready and caramel malts. Faint floral hops. Flavor is malty and sweet. A bit earthy with some florals. The malt character gives a feel of an English Pale Ale, but not quite as flavorful. Smooth and an easy drinker.

Aromas of roasted caramel and floral hop. Slightly hazy amber color with a decent beige head. Medium body with mild carbonation. Roasted caramel flavor decently balanced by floral bitter. The finish is pretty much the same. Very English, if perhaps a bit heavy on hop for the friends across the pond.

Bottle, at Papsoe’s place. Clear, copper pour, with a beige head. Tea (Fuggles?), malt, dried fruits and some piney hops in the aroma. Sweet, caramel flavor with piny hops. Medium to full body, and a hoppy finish. Almost barley wine like, but a bit thin for that. A nice beer, still there is a slightly ordinary touch to it, but hey, I like the beer. (071005)

Draft. Pour is a hazy amber color. Aroma of caramels and malts with a touch of hops. Flavor is surprisingly light, notes of brown sugar sweetness and a nice malt flavor as well. Good bitter finish to it as well.

12 fl oz bottle. Pours amber/hazy orane with a lacing white head. Caramel malty and hoppy aroma: spiced and fruity at once. Hoppy spiced with mild malt base. Somewhat bitter into the finish with a bit of fruityness. Almost light bodied.

Bright golden-amber colour. Caramelly, earthy nose. Earthy and sweet, with lots of caramel and a hint of nuttiness. Fairly nondescript, disappointing for my first Stoudts in a long while.

Bottle. Amber, off-white creamy head. Grainy, salty sushi aroma. Soy sauce and wasabi, light roast. medium to light body. Brine aftertaste. Strange, but a pefect sushi-beer.

Draft. Easy drinking. Mostly malt and caramel. Light on the bitterness. Solid and drinkable. Aroma is light and hints at floral hops and biscuity malts. Taste of caramel and a light bitterness. Soft on the palate with ample carbonation. Quiet, but enjoyable.
