An epic saga of Colfax classic apple wine matured in dark rum casks then laced with wildflower honey and dark candi syrup. 15 Men rolls strong like a deep ocean swell with notes of burnt caramel and oak, gentle hints of ripe fall apples, vanilla and exotic floral fruit carried on the trade winds. Before pouring, give a solid bottoms-up tilt and swirl to dispense sediment evenly and experience the complex aroma and bouquet.

Aroma is ripe apples, and hints of honey and rum. Flavor’s similar to nose, plus a hint of oak. Sweet dominates, could maybe use a bit more carbonation to cut the sweet. I didn’t do the swirling until after I opened it. Appearance is a slightly cloudy amber cider. Decent finish.

22 oz bottle poured. Beautiful bottle really. I always like a bottle that I can read a nice story off of while I enjoy it. Served with an ice cube, like the bottle suggests. Big rum forward aroma. Flavor is a sweet green apple. 99% of the rum presence is in the aroma. Subtle oaky rum finish. Overall an awesome cider here. Stand out for sure.

Bomber from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours translucent, nearly hazy gold. Aroma of apples, rum and a suggestion of treacle. Near med body. Flavor is apple, honey/sugar in small quantity, trace of treacle, and some rum. Not as much rum as I’d like tho. Still it makes a very drinkable cider.

Awesome! Sweet/lightly tart apples; earthy floral honey/brown sugar; light-med rum/oak/vanilla/spice. Semisweet/great complexity/balance.
