Bottle thanks to Craig. It pours very pale clear - gold. The nose is soft, sweet, honey, floral, orange blossom and crunchie. The taste is slick, sweet, mellow, earth, honeycomb and some alcohol warmth with a smooth finish. Medium body and slick, oily mouth-feel. Easy - going, but not much depth. Fine.

Sampled from a 750 ml blue corked bottle this Mead poured an extremely pale yellow color with no head and no lacing. The aroma was sweet with muscat grape, tannin and honey. The flavor was sweet with very strong tannin, a bit of honey and ginger. Long finish. Full body.

Sampled from bottle as a 4 oz pour at the 7venth Sun brewpub, Dunedin FL, on January 19, 2014.Clear pear color, no head. Wood, sweet, alcohol, honey, some orange scent. Sweet, wood, alcohol taste. Alcohol, light raisin aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel, then dry. Leaves some oily legs on the glass, also some firey alcohol in the breath.

750 mL bottle from Greenlife, Asheville. Pours a clear very pale yellow color. No head, moderate legs. Vinous, winey aroma with notes of citrus and wax. The taste is sweet honey, citrus, faint wood, fruity finish and a bit of hot wax. Medium bodied, fairly hot. Good mead, but I’m still not digging orange blossom honey as base for mead.
