Great tasty stout, not too in your face, but well balanced and strong. But in a very drinkable way it’s straddles the line of not too much or too little. online belgian beer factory

Bottled on 2015. Poczatkowa spora slodycz przechodzi w tostowa nute, mocno palonych ziaren kawy, czekolada deserowa, na final zostalo chmielenie, spore mieszajace sie slodkosci z czeskim zateckim.

Frothy yellowish brown head left a collar on a dark reddish brown still body. Thick aroma of liquorice, spice, clove, demerara, dark berry & dark spirits - smells amazing! Full bodied, thick & creamy on the palate with a soft clean finish. Sweet berry, brown sugar, chocolate, malt & caramel tastes to the fore with hints of coffee followed by livelier back of citrus, bitter underripe fruit & very tangy finish

Nice light brown slightly bubbly-creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet sour-ish roasted, toast, roasted grain, dark sugar, dark malts, bark, minerals, soil, oak, paper, burnt coffee, grass, hints of unripe banana. Taste is slightly sweet sour-ish roasted, weeds, toast, booze, roasted grain, soil, paper, dark malts, sour coffee, bark, minerals, hay, grass, dark sugar, ashes. Medium to longlasting bitterness, slightly sweet sour-ish roasted mouthfeel. Fair enough, not as good as it used to be.

Taste starts spicy, ginger, cinnamon, dried fruits, roasted malts, dark chocolate, caramel, finishes with sweet spicy dried fruits. Medium bodied, smooth, low carbonation. Nicely done quad/stout hybrid.

15 April 2018. Bottle at Le Trappiste, Bruges. Shared with Anke.
Pours cloudy black with a small, lasting, foamy, beige head; little lacing, some sediment. Intense & complex aroma of dark chocolate, caramel, roasted malt, smoke & smoked meat, cigar ash, barley, yeast and dark fruits. It tastes medium chocolatey sweet, malty and a bit umami, light to medium roasted bitter with hoppy and spicy tones. Toasty finish, still hoppy, with warming whisky alcohol. Full body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. An RIS that has it all, intense and balanced. Great stuff!
