Small beige head. Intensive aroma of chocolate, plums, raisins, caramel, coffee. Very sweet. Taste is also very intensive. Chocolate, dark fruits, caramel. Sweet one. Full body. Low carbonation. Great Imperial Stout!

Bottle, 0.33l. Pitch black pour. No head, no lacing. Malts, caramel, honey and herbs on the nose. Medium to full body with smooth oily texture. Very low carbonation, almost flat. Sweet taste, slightly roasted with notable alcohol burn. Bitter aftertaste due to alcohol. Rich aroma; heavy malt, both caramel and roasted, coffee, honey. Sugary. Hints of cocoa. Herbal liquor. Raisins. Average finish with persistent alcohol bitterness on the tongue. Tasty. One to savour slowly.

Bottle.Pitch black colour with medium beige head.Aroma of dark dried fruits most like figs a d plums,flavors of coffee and caramel,nots of fermenting yeast and roasted caramel,good full body and strong finish.

Zwart bier zonder schuim. Smaak is krachtig, licht bitter en friszuur met iets van koffie, chocolade. Heeft een fris fruitig zure bijsmaak die goed past in het geheel.

From a 330ml bottle on 30/11/2016 (bottled 29/6/2015, BB 29/6/2020). Pours dark brown with almost no head. The nose features prunes and caramel. Taste wise, it’s fairly basic but rather enjoyable - sweet dark preserved fruit (prunes, dates) with some mild burnt caramel and toffee in the mix. There’s a touch of roastiness to a fairly firm bitterness at the back. Fullish body,with very modest carbonation. Exhibits nice balance. A very good big beer.

Bottle at Erzbierschof Zurich. Pours dark brown with a coarse head. All the added stuff shows in the aroma: Caramel, chocolate, roasted malts. Some vanilla. Heavy body, sweet, barely any carbonation. Sticky sweet actually. Palate is sweet too. Very nice, but highly atypical for a quad.

11.2 ounce bottle from Green’s Beverage Buford Highway, bottled 13/02/2012 and enjoyed 4/19/16. Dark brown, large foamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of cherries, toffee, bread, yeast, caramel, a hint of soy. The taste is toffee, cherries, plums, spice, bread, yeast, anise. Medium bodied, still, mild booze. A good bit of oxidation but the beer wears it well. Nice sipper.

Butelka 330ml (29.06.2020). Piwo o ciemnobrunatnej barwie, beżowej pianie, dość obfitej choć po kilku chwilach pozostaje tylko cienki kożuszek. W aromacie ciemne owoce, suszone owoce, rodzynki, nuty opiekane, subtelnie winne a to wszystko dość intensywne i bardzo przyjemne w odbiorze. W smaku nuty opiekane, suszonych owoców, winne. Piwo jest półsłodkie, bardzo gładkie choć z delikatną, leciutko ostrą nutą alkoholu ale nie przeszkadzającą a tylko przełamującą gładkość piwa. Piwo treściwe z zaznaczoną goryczką, w głównej mierze alkoholową, pije się długo ale z dużą dawką przyjemności.
