Mooi & Meedogenloos combines both Belgian style Quadruple and Imperial Stout. Sweet and spicy like the first but roasted and full bodied like the second. Flavour indication: chocolate, plums, brown sugar Translates as Beautiful & Ruthless

Bottled 330ml. -from Pivoteka Zagreb. Dark brown coloured with red glare, small beige head, dried fruits and alcohol in the nose. Sweet malty, caramel, fruits and alcohol with notes of dried fruits and wood. Slightly hoppy and alcoholic finish. Nice one.

0.75l, bottled 23 january 2013. Cork releases with a nearly unnoticeable plop, probably lost some carbonation. Pours a dark amber-brown color with a think tan layer of foam. Aroma is dark malty, candied fruits, prunes and raisins, some tobacco, some spicy yeasts, some roasted malts and coffee. Taste is surprisingly fresh-fruity with berries at first, but then a good maltiness comes through, also toffee and figs, butterscotch, some chocolate. Could be an American Strong. A bit oxidized but in a good way. Nearly flat. Quite a viscous mouthfeel. Pleasant stuff, aged gracefully.

Bottle at Spuyt in Amsterdam. Loose, light beige, irregular head over a very dark burgundy, near blackish beer. Aroma of fondant chocolate bars, cocoa, blackberry, dates, dried banana, caramelized sugar, mocha ice cream, soy sauce, fig. Candied sweetness in onset, rich with an oily, fluffy texture, bit oily with soft carbo, accents of fig and date with a certain soy sauce umami flavour to it, thick caramelly and toasted malt bittersweetness, rich and satisfying with peppery hops in the finish for balance, a roasted bittering accent and whisky-like, warming alcohol. Very rich, deep beer like many of these strong Molens; in terms of style, this has certain Scotch- and even imperial stout-like aspects so definitely not your average strong dark Belgian.

dark brown colour, minimal sized creamy beige head; aroma of dried cherry, chocolate, some liqueur and cheese notes; taste is dominated by malty-syrupy sweetness with chocolate, dried cherry, nuts and even some smoke (cheese) notes can also be felt; not a usual Belgian strong ale, but still very good

02/11/2015 @home - 33cl bottle (almost 3 years old) from Bierhalle Deconinck, Vichte. Dark brown with small tanned head. Aroma is dark roasted matls, caramel. Taste is roasted malts, caramel, chocolate, dried dark fruits and a bit earthy which even gives it hint of of Oud Bruin. Thick oily texture. Definetly a very nice ager.

Paid a steep price of $6.99 at Julioβs Liquors for a 11.2 oz bottle. Date on label reads 12/ 3 /2012. Consumed at cellar temperature. Really black in color, deep brown, thick head and lace. Aroma has a lot of chocolate, bread pudding, raisins.
The flavor shows a substantial chocolate base with a mild yeast presence. With the above mentioned raisins and bread pudding notes. The finish and mouthfeel is smooth with a average carbonation level. ABV is hidden but I would expect that with the age. Itβs good but for the money...... I should be more wise.

Clear, very dark brown, light tan froth. Malt and tobacco aroma. Sweetish, malty flavour with good hoppy bitterness. Syrupy, dried fruit. Light mouthfeel considering the flavour and abv. Very drinkable, very nice. More like a quad than BSA?
