Lots of straw like the Icelandic countryside. Clean and crisp finish. Rust colored. Not quite a vienna. Tall can from Vinbudin

500ml can shared. Clear amber with a large white head. Caramel aroma, caramel flavour. Not much else going on, but pleasant enough

Clear amber beer, light malty smell. Flavour is light malt, caramel, a touch of hop. Not much to it. Slightly sour aftertaste.

Can shared at home in Hackney - picked up in Reykjavik. Pours crystal clear honey-gold with a small, creamy head. Roasty malts in the nose, some crackers, dry caramel. Light-medium sweet flavour with toasted and crispy malts, faint leafy hops, burnt hay, more dried caramel. Light bodied with average carbonation. Decent balance in the finish, more toasty frackers and biscuits, a little caramel and honey, low bitterness. Enjoyable by the style.

At Bjarni Reykjavik, Amber beer, small head. Aroma is sweet, malt. Taste is the same, meh average.

Medium offwhite head. Clear amber body. Strawy caramelly aroma, quite faint. Dryish earthy caramelly taste with mealy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish mealy caramelly aftertaste with minty grainy notes. Buttery notes linger. It’s decent, but no more. Very low on character. (0.5l draft at Mudabar, Akureyri.)

Brun farge med hvitt luftig skum. Lukter malt og noe karamell. Smaker noe tamt. Lite kullsyre. Noe sødme i etttersmak.
