Dark brown pour. The aroma is of dark fruit, malt, and yeast. It tastes of toasted caramel malt, dark fruit, and candi sugar. It's very sweet, sweeter than I really wanted, but still very good.

Draft: Deep brown with a creamy beige head. Aroma of plums, yeast, berry. Sweet molasses, dark fruits, caramel malt taste. Nice......a little booze......true to style.

Draft. Deep brown body. Short tan head. Aroma of dark fruit, banana, bread, light mustiness, toasted grain. The flavor is heavily sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium to full body, velvety/syrupy texture, moderate carbonation. Taste of candy sugars, light funk, fruity esters, light alcohol. Enjoyable.

Tap at FFF, tulip glass. Deep brown-black body. Big, steady, beige head. Thick black malt...deeper side of a Dubbel. Raisin. Rich and thick, sort of reminiscent of a big Weizenbock too. Sweet, nice doughy malts, but not so much depth. Roasty. Kind of all over the place Belgian Dark Ale. Coffee?
