Was expecting a little more here. Appearance’s a small tan head that soon faded, almost no lace an opaque brown black color. Aroma is Cocoa and roast malt. Flavor is mainly sweet with dark malts and a little bitterness. Body is ok, carbonation is a little fizzy.

Bottle. Chocolate, earthy oatmeal, light molasses aroma. Black brown with a moderate brown head. Roasty malt, chocolate, coffee, and oat flavor with a light roasty bitter/spicy finish. Medium full creamy body, moderate carbonation.

Bottle. Pours opaque black, small tan head, dissipates pretty quickly with some lacing. Aroma is chocolate, molasses, anise, hint of ash. Flavor is medium sweet, light bitter, rich molasses flavors dominate. Full body, silky mouthfeel. Quite good.

Purchased at Bottles and Cans in Chicago, IL; enjoyed at home while watching Sunday football before shooting some band photos. Appearance is pitch black, moderate consistency, light dark tan head. Aroma of rich chocolate, oats, roasted malt, coffee notes. Taste is pretty damn good, nice chocolate / light hazelnut in the back end, flavorful, enjoyable, good stuff.

Bottle: (BGW Series) Black with a creamy, dark tan head. Chocolate, over-cooked campfire coffee aroma. Taste is rich, dark chocolate malt, vanilla, oats, coffee bean. Malty, creamy, rich.... Really nice stuff.
