Braggots are meads made with half barley and half honey. Ours was aged in an Apple Brandy barrel and features semi-sweet honey, apple notes, with a subtle alcohol warmness.

Sample at the brewpub. Clear golden color with a minimal white head and decent legs on the glass. Aroma of spiced apples and honey. Full-bodied with a green apple character and notes of honey and spices. The finish is tart with a lingering apple aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Draft: Almost clear gold, with a minimal white ring. Aroma is honey, wood, alcohol. Sweet....with an alcohol tart bite. Honey, apple, flavours. Very nice...a tad bit rough in finish, but very enjoyable.
