This eclectic beer has an amber color and warm rich flavor that lingers. It's brewed with caramel malts with Saaz, Willamette and Cascade hops. This Belgian Bock is as rich, warm, and unique as Pierre Celis, the man who first made it.

Top-fermented bock with cristal malts and Whitbread yeast, apparently. Tasted as old beer. Creamy head, deep brownish amber colour; fruity and malty aroma, caramel, honey, lightly spiced; taste malty, rounded, soft and sweetish, bit honeyish, mild spices, dry finish.

Bottle: Pours clear, amber, with a short tan head. Caramel, breadheel aroma. Taste is flat cola, light malt, caramel. Nothing overtly bad, just very dull and bland.

Bottle. Pours a clear amber with a small frothy off white head that leaves decent spotty lacing. The aroma is a bready malt with caramel. Thin mouthfeel with a light roast malt with caramel, raisin and brown sugar. Easy to drink with a spicy finish. A good Belgian from MBC.

Location: 12 oz bottle, 10/22/09

Aroma: Toasted grains, caramel, orange
Appearance: Hazy golden-orange color
Flavor: Malty with a medium sweetness
Palate: Light-medium body, somewhat creamy
Overall Impression: This beer was alright. It's not very exciting, but it is drinkable. It is a little bit on the boring side. You can drink it, it may quench your thirst, but it is not going to excite anyone.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy bronze-brown color with a large tan head. The aroma was faint with tangy malts and was a touch vegetal. The flavor was tangy, sour, lightly fruity and faintly vegetal. The finish was short, sour and tangy. Eh.

12 oz. bottle from Beer Geek. Copper amber color with a decent off-white head. Aroma of citrus and a little spice. Near medium body with rather creamy carbonation. Flavor is rather malty sweet, with some citrus and likely coriander. Seems to be a lot of caramel, and a lot of citrus/coriander to temper it. Despite that it still seems not very bitter. It’s just the wrong type of sweet for a Belgian in my view, and a little more hop might have been an improvement. It’s slowly growing on me though.
