Boldly hopped with Delta and Mt Hood, and again dry-hopped in fermentation, our Wheaten IPA is both pleasantly bitter and full of citrus and hop aroma. A subtle blend of specialty malts and malted wheat compliment the hoppy characteristics creating a unique beer that is a direct nod to Pyramid’s rich northwest heritage.

From the bottle I get a pretty stronger dull thick perfumey aroma. Loks like cloudy iced tea. Thin scum of a topper. Why does everything have to ruined with IPA? Big hairy deal, this is a wheat beer brwed with lots of hops to include a IPA BS impact. At least this is something new from pyrie baby. Yes, a thicker mouth coating palate kicks your ass. Really does show the alky content, quite a burst. Long hoppy bitter medicinal finish, what ever, not impressed. I hope the ipa fad fades quicker than it has. Difficult rude on ipa style palate wrecker. Did I say not impressed,oh yea, I did.

Pours dark, red-amber with a short, tan head. Aroma is bread heel.... Taste is toast, bread, caramel, sticky fruit, earth,...a little ferrous bitter....and a hint of pepper.... Mild, no off notes... Just simple....a bit bland. Decent, just no "zing" to it.

Pours darkly hazy orange/amber with a beige head. Aroma is malty aneda bit citrus. Flavor is not quite malty, but sort of. And there’s a dose of citrus. Not untasty.

12oz bottle from Total Wine
Appearance: Pours clear dark amber with a small foamy beige head and some lacing left as is dissipates quickly to a small ring
Aroma: Dusty, earthy hops, caramel and citrus
Taste: Caramel, grapefruit and bitter pine
A nice, easy drinking IPA.

12 oz bottle from the Wheat Beer Variety Pack. Expired on July 28. Pours cloudy orange with a thin off-white collapsing head. Aroma consists of bready malt, wet river rock, caramel, popcorn. Taste starts out malty sweet before quickly becoming bitter. The sweetness is almost cloying, and the bitterness, which attempts to keep it in check, is almost over the top before the cloying sweetness comes back. ODD. Highly carbonated with an oily mouthfeel. This has probably suffered due to its age, so someone give me a fresh bottle so I can re-rate this thing, please.

Bottle. Amber beer with a light tan head. Malt and light pine aroma. Grapefruit and woodsy flavor with light malt. Medium bodied. OK bitterness. Grapefruit and woodsiness linger with light pine and light malt.

Bottle: Pale copper color, really quite clear contrary to what I’d expected. Creamy beige head and lots of sticky sheets of lacing. Mild aroma is dry and grassey, seemingly dusty. Tastes crisp with floral hops, grassey, and dry wheat.
