Kerstbier Festival. Clear reddish brown beer with a beige lacing. Aroma of herbal dark malt, chocolate, cinnamon. Taste of herbal dark brown malt, caramel, raisins, cinnamon.

Small darker cream head over deep ruby-brown beer. Sweet nose, malts, dark malts, but also brown candi sugar. The beer indeed contains cassonade, and one can smell it a mile out. Dark (sugar) bread; melanoidins. Sweet, but with markedly bitterish-roasted overtones. Roast, melanoidins dominating with a light burning sensation, due to the invisible, if very present carbonation. Roasted nuts, leafy, liquorice, bitter plums, dark candi sugar. After a while, dark chocolate with some marzipan. Quite well-bodied, very viscous-slick, tittilating carbonation. Meeeuuhh. Aroma 6. Appearance 3. Taste 5. Palate 2. Overall 10. Mid-roasted malt and caramel aroma. Grassy and even a bit metalic taste, some dried fruits (plum?), grilled biscuit. Quite dried aftertaste, mid-sweet with a hint of alcohol.

Dark brown with quick fading head. Aroma and flavour have dark sweet malts. Hints of sweet coffee and caramel too. A big too gassy.

Pours dark, chocolate / mahonie brown , with a small, yet stable, lighly tanned yellowwhite head. Smell is sharp, mild chocolate, mild dark fruits. Touch of caramel, perhaps. Mild in general. Taste is sharp, bitter, low-quality dark chocolate. Tad caramelly, relatively bitter and dry ( for the style ) . mild dark fruits in the undertone. Finish is very remotely sweet, sticky chocolatyness, but also rather fresh by the (now mild) bitterness. It doesn't end clean, but not as full as a style-centered quad either. pretty decent .
