Festive IPA. 2019 recipe is at 6%.
2020 version known as Hoppy Xmas. Later version (2024) as Hoppy Christmas. Buckle up for this seasonal Simcoe sled ride. A fruity festive fellow that delivers an all out Blitzen of Citrus flavour by the sack load. Citrus and tropical fruits on the Red nose. Tangy citrus, papaya and pineapple Dancer across the palate. All resting on a firm malty under carriage. A happy but bitter end waits.
Hoppy Christmas - don't keep the receipt.

4 or 5 cans in the BA flight from Heathrow to Dubai, 16th December 24. Pours a light clear caramel colour. Aroma is light malts, resin and citrus. Taste is clean, resin, bittersweet. Quite pleased to get a 6.0 abv ipa on the plane, better than Speedbird

0,33 boks fra Statens beskjedne nisseavdeling i Hønefoss, hjemme: klar gylden med fint skum som varer. En søtlig IPA uten noen konnotasjoner til julen, med mindre man regner søt citrus som en del av adventen. Fin granskuddaktig bitterhet i avslutningen.

Can thanks to Roddy. Appearance - murky yellow. Fluffy white head. Nose - peach, sweet lemon, vanilla and generally floral. Taste - more sweet lemon, floral and vanilla. Palate - light bodied, a bit sweet. Overall - OK.

Can. Clear golden-amber color with white head. Aroma is malty, berries, bready. Taste is the same. Chewy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Alright.

Can from the local Grocery Outlet. Pours gold with a decent white head. Aroma is rather tropical. Med body. Flavor is hoppy with pale malt support. Mild flavor. Like a bland NEIPA. Pale stone fruit and citrus for flavor IMHO. Not at all exciting.

BrewDog advent calendar #15. Nothing remarkable about this one at all, just a bang average overly hopped IPA.

Based on the Alia’s entry, I guess the Brewdog USA version should be under this entry too. Seems to be the same beer. Pours lightly hazy yellow and has a fairly hoppy, citrus accented aroma. The flavor is moderately bitter with light pine resin and tropical fruit. I don’t know what makes it a “Christmas” ipa. It’s alright.

Can for day one from the Advent calendar. Light bit of haze in a dark gold liquid that has a bubbly white head that persists. Old school bready faint caramel malt with pine and citrus to counter. Seemed a hint on the sweet side imho.
