Bottle from Embrouille - thank you so much! Pours cloudy nearly black with abundant airy but stable tan head. Clear aroma of coffee, malt, roast, and caramel. Sweetish, malty and caramellish flavour, with notes of dark chocolate and coffee. Well discernible alcohol presence. Sweetish afteraste. Boozy but good. Really good.

33cl fliptop bottle from Vinmonopolet, Vika. Pours black with a beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, dried dark fruits, caramel and some wooden and smoky notes. Sweet and roasty with some sour notes and a quite light bitterness. Slightly vinous, and fairly mild in flavour. Nice winter warmer.

Bottle at home. Has a black color and a beige, medium head. This beer has a complex aroma with a nice roasted flavor. In addition, with notes of dark wood, yeast, dark meat, forest and chocolate. The taste is even more roasted with hints of coffee, lactose, spices and lots of dark chocolate. Has a smooth mouthfeel and a light bitterness. Again a complex and balanced beer from BFM.

Draft. Brown/black body with a white, frothy head. Aroma of toasted grain, roast, mild coffee with a hint of chocolate. The flavor is lightly bitter, lightly sweet and moderately acidic. It finishes moderately bitter, lightly sweet and moderately to heavily acidic. Medium body, watery texture and average carbonation. Interesting beer, but didn’t overly enjoy the sour tartness on top of stout characteristics.
