SWING-TOP 33 CL from CH-303.

Look: almost opaque black, mocha creamy head.
Aroma: starts with some roast and a prominent spicy sour/funky note, which goes away rather fast. Still some belgian spice remains, along with some soap.
Taste: the flavour has many different components and all are quite strong: roasty, almost sugary sweetness and a strong pungent bitter finish. Some soapy and fresh cut zucchini notes as well.

Zutaten: Wasser, Gerstenmalz, Dinkel, Zucker, Hopfen Hefe.

Better than the ratings say it is. Pours black with OK head and lacing. Roast and a little booze. Some caramel and dark chocolate. Spekt makes for interesting aroma but not sure it adds much here. Light bitter and sweet finish. Tap at pizzeria paradiso.

330 ml swing-top bottle from Vinmonopolet bestillingsutvalget. Deep, near-black body. Lasting, two-finger sized, fawn-coloured head. Patchy lacework. Dark bready malts on the nose joined by lactose sweetness. Slightly smoked malty flavours alongside hints of chocolate and star anise balanced by a little fruity tartness to the ending. Medium bodied. Fits the season nicely (at home 23.11.2013)
