This 2nd batch of the 6th iteration of 110K+OT is an Imperial Stout brewed with raspberries and aged in Port barrels that clocks in at 26 OG, 7 FG, 80 SRM. Thanks! Bomber sampled @ Samson en Geert bierproeverij. Black, mocha head. Nose is too soy sauce, umami, grainy, gravy. Taste is soy sauce, mocha, sweet chocolate, caramel, black chocolate, umami, very thick bodied. Fair umami stout but the Port & raspberries were lost for me. I usually enjoy Cigar City far more than this.

Dark brown pour, bit of brown foam. Nose is sweet, cocoa and milk chocolate, berries. Sweetish but cocoa dusty. Taste is cocoa dusty as well, lots of berries, bitter chocolate, berries, strawberry. Shit, this is great as well, very unique. Dry and berry-forward.

Bottle @ weekly tasting shared with Dutchdrebus. Opaque black color, average to medium sized quite quickly diminishing brown head. Aroma is malts, huge port and dark fruits, some alcohol, roast and wood. Taste malts, clearly raspberries in the flavor, roasted malts in the background, again heavy on the port and wood. Sweetish, with tart influences of grapepeel, although I guess it originates from the raspberry in this case, but that’s what it reminds me of. I was gonna say there’s also a slight bitter touch to it, but it has disappeared completely and the tart flavors are most dominant overall. In the end, I think this is quite a nice exemple of a blend between a RIS and a fruit, but it’s just not what I like. Too bad, not my thing, but it’s a daring and impressive brew.
